Security agents are said to have perfected plans to arrest 10 ex-governors and some ministers as well as some state commissioners, according to Saturday Independent reports.

It was gathered that the alleged iniquities of those slated for arrest ranged from high levels of misappropriation of public funds, inflated contracts to involvement in terrorism.

It was also gathered that the security agents started compiling evidence of crimes against some of them six years ago.

Security sources hinted that, apart from the governors, Ministers and some Commissioners their cronies and contractors are also to be invited for questioning.

Investigations also revealed that some of those slated for arrest were aware and have perfected strategies to flee to abroad and be there until the tension subsides.

However, Police sources assured, “We will get them wherever they escape to.”

It was gathered that a former governor of Rivers State is among those penciled down for arrest. Similarly, others are former governors of Kaduna, Benue and Delta states.

We learned that two out of the remaining six are from the North.

We also gathered that some contractors who handled major projects in their states are also on the list of the tsunami of arrest.

We further learned over the weekend that, the arrest plan is already leaked to some of those on the list, and is said to have prevailed on President Bola Tinubu before he was sworn in on Monday, May 29, to give them presidential protection.
