Two Catholic priests identified as Reverend Father Chochos Kunav and Raphael Ogigba have been reportedly abducted by gunmen in Agbaro-Otor area, near Warri, Delta State.

According to media reports, the priests were kidnapped on Saturday night.

This paper gathered that one of the hostages, Father Chochos, is serving in Ibadan (Ogun State) and was on a visit to his colleague at the Catholic Diocese of Warri.

Both priests later went to a nearby parish to visit another priest friend, but on their way back in the night, the gunmen intercepted their vehicle and whisked them away to an unknown destination.

At the time of filing this report, it wasn’t clear if the criminal elements have established any contact with the families of the victims.
