Presidential Candidate of Labour Party for the 2023 election, Mr. Peter Obi, is winning an opinion survey by the Kano-based independent newspaper, Arewa Trust, with a very wide margin.

The introduction of the poll being monitored by News Express says: “Arewa Trust Newspaper is conducting opinion poll among the BIG FOUR PRESIDENTIAL CANDIDATES IN NIGERIA on *who will you be voting for as President in 2023?* Kindly click and share the below link to cast your vote.

https://arewatrust.net/poll/who-will-you-be-voting-for-as-president-in-2023/”.

The question being asked by the paper is: “Who will you be voting for as president in 2023”?

When News Express checked the results yesterday, Obi had taken a seemingly unassailable lead, scoring 80.44% of the votes as at the close of voting on Monday, October 3.

Presidential Candidate of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, was coming a distant second with 13,78% of the votes, with Senator Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso of the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP) coming third with 3.11%.

Alhaji Atiku Abubakar of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) brought up the rear with only 2.67% of the votes cast.

News Express reports that the result is consistent with those of previous polls by credible local and international organisations which showed clearly in the led as Nigeria counts down to the February 2023 presidential ballot. They include the surveys by ANAP Foundation conducted by NOI Polls and the one by Bloomberg.

Obi’s campaign is being driven by Nigerian youths who have embarked on series of massive Obidient and Obi-Datti rallies across the country.
