Publisher of NN News Media, Nkiruka Nistoran, has weighed in on recent developments affecting Nigerian politics and international relations.
In a post shared on her X (formerly Twitter) handle, Nistoran linked the United States’ new visa requirement which mandates Nigerian applicants to submit all social media handles from the past five years to a broader crackdown on political propaganda.
She suggested that the rule could mark the end of the APC’s Digit Summit propaganda tactics ahead of the 2027 general elections.
“This comes shortly after a Canadian court initially declared both APC and PDP as terrorist groups,” she noted. “Now the US is demanding full disclosure of social media activity.”
Nistoran concluded with a warning to political propagandists:
My advice to the hired propaganda machinery: think long-term. Don’t trade your future for a temporary paycheck. What you build today could be what destroys you tomorrow.
