Peter Obi, the Labour Party’s (LP) presidential candidate in the 2023 elections, has urged all political stakeholders in Nigeria to unite ahead of the 2027 elections to challenge and defeat the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC).

Speaking at a media event in Abuja on Thursday, Obi criticized the APC for what he described as mismanagement of the nation’s resources.

Amid swirling rumors, Obi clarified that no merger agreement has been reached with either the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) or the New Nigeria People’s Party (NNPP), or any other political entity.

The former Anambra State Governor emphasized this point during a press conference focused on the current state of the nation.

According to Obi, an economic expert by background, no formal agreements have been made with other political parties at this juncture. This statement aims to dispel any misconceptions about political alliances in the lead-up to the next electoral cycle.
