Yusuf Datti Baba-Ahmed, former Vice Presidential candidate of the Labour Party, has cast serious doubt on President Bola Tinubu’s chances of re-election in 2027.

In an interview with Arise TV, Baba-Ahmed asserted that Tinubu is facing formidable political opposition, even if their identities remain undisclosed for now.

“There are two individuals I won’t name yet, but they represent a major threat to Tinubu’s political future,” Baba-Ahmed said. “If Tinubu is smart, he should already know his time is up.”

He went further to criticize the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), claiming its promises have proven hollow. “The APC has been exposed as a deception. Nigerians have seen through the lies.”

With rising political tension and speculation around who might challenge Tinubu in the next election, Baba-Ahmed’s remarks signal the early rumblings of a fierce 2027 political showdown.
