Armed hoodlums on Saturday attacked the Soka residence of Yoruba Nation agitator, Sunday Adeyemo aka Sunday Igboho, in Ibadan, Oyo State.

The attack resulted in the death of one and left many others injured.

Confirming the attack on Saturday, Igboho’s lead lawyer, Yomi Aliyyu (SAN), the thugs attacked Igboho’s residence and macheted aides and associates of the Yoruba Nation campaigner.

He told The PUNCH that the armed thugs stormed the same house of Sunday Igboho that the Department of State Services attacked on July 1, last year.

The state Police Public Relations Officer, Adewale Osifeso, did not take his calls when contacted.

Recall that the DSS had in July, 2021, attacked Igboho’s home, killing two aides and arresting about 12 others.

The secret police subsequently declared the yoruba activist wanted for allegedly running arms and ammunition.

Following the crackdown, Sunday Igboho went into hiding as the Federal government launched a manhunt for him.

He was later arrested at an airport in Cotonou, Benin Republic, were he was about to board a flight to Germany alongside his wife, Ropo Adeyemi.
