The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission has finally arrested a former governor of Imo State, Senator Rochas Okorocha after a long siege to his Maitama home in the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja, on Tuesday.
Security operatives in company of officers of the antigraft agency shot sporadically to disperse a crowd of supporters who had come to show solidarity for the former governor.
The commission in the afternoon of today stormed his home to effect his arrest.
EFCC in a statement said they laid siege in Rochas residence over his refusal to honour invitations after jumping the administrative bail earlier granted to him by the court.
