Two people have been confirmed dead, and two others hospitalized after bandits attacked Garin Gabas village in Malam Madori Local Government Area of Jigawa State.

The police public relations officer in the state, ASP Lawal Shiisu, who confirmed this to Channels Television on Saturday said one person was also been abducted by the gunmen.

According to him, “the incident happened on Thursday at about 00230 hours when gunmen attacked Garin Gabas in Malam Madori and they shot four people before whisking away one Musa Malili a twenty-two-year-old.”

“Two out of the four victims that were shot died in the hospital while the other two are receiving treatment in the hospital,” ASP Shiisu disclosed.

He added that the police are doing everything possible to ensure they rescue the abducted person and urged citizens to report any suspicious movement of people within their community.
