A pressure group under the aegis of Equity Movement Turn By Turn has expressed pleasure over what it described as unflinching support majority of Nigerians have continued to accord the Labour Party presidential candidate, Mr Peter Obi.
In a statement, the National Chairman of the group, Hon Gauis Ezeh and other executive members drawn from the East, North and West pleaded with other Nigerians left out to understand that Mr Obi has been anointed to change the old order for a better Nigeria, according to the group.
“With regard to a statement credited to Governor Okowa of Delta State, Equity Movement has seen it as a statement to the masses because we know Governor Okowa as a responsible man who knows when to talk and what to say, also pleading that he should rather concentrate on the afairs of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) and leave Mr Peter Obi alone to avoid the spiritual wind that is blowing tigers and lions of this nation.
“We are also pleading with Governor Nyesom Wike of Rivers State and his group to have a rethink and consider supporting Mr Peter Obi and Datti Baba Ahmed for so many good reasons, at least for the youth and children yet unborn, ” the group said.
It begged Nigerians irrespective of their tribe and political leaning to see reasons to ensure that Obi and his running mate, Ahmed were elected to take over the mantle of leadership of this country after the 2023 general election, adding that if God had ordained the duo to lead Nigeria that nobody could stop it.
“It is certain that other candidates will only give continuity to Buhari’s incompetence. We know Peter Obi very well, that is why we endorse him. He will not disappoint Nigerians, let us put tribal differences apart and vote right leaders.
We are sure that the duo can guarantee positive changes in Nigeria.
“We are as well appealing to Nigerians to make sure when voting Peter Obi and his VP, they should not forget to cast their votes for the Senators and House of Representatives candidates of the LP so that they will not face embarrassment in the National Assembly and for smooth administration of this nation.
“We express our gratitude to the patrons and leaders of Equity Movement Turn By Turn and the respected elder-statesmen of this nation that have seen the truth and resolved to say the truth to ensure forward ever and backwards never, ” the group concluded.
