Details of how the presidential candidate of the Labour Party, Mr Peter Obi, visited Mubi Local Government Area of Adamawa State which has been under constant attack by Boko Haram and made N24 million cash donation, have emerged.

The details of the visit was recounted in a short appeal made by one Abu Amir Sadiq Maunde to the Northern region.

Abu Sadiq while urging the people of the North to drop what he described as worthless sentiment and vote for the Labour Party presidential hopeful, said that Obi is a man that can be trusted.

According to him, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar who hails from Adamawa State, abandoned Mubi Local Government Area despite what the LGA has gone through in the hands of Boko Haram insurgents.

Sadiq also said that the Peoples Democratic Party presidential candidate (Atiku) last visited Mubi in 2003.

He said, “Peter Obi was in Mubi Local Government Area of Adamawa state yesterday. Mubi is one of the LGA’s ravaged by boko haram insurgents.

“The last time Atiku Abubakar who is from Adamawa state visited Mubi was around 2003 or thereabout, despite what the LG went through all these years.

“Mr. Peter Obi just visited a Boko Haram ravaged LGA that our own son, had not visited since 2003 and never had plans to visit at all.

“Aside that, in the year 2016, Peter Obi was no more a Governor, and he was not even running for any elective position at all, but he visited mubi and donated the sum of N24m to communities and families in mubi affected by the attacks of BH. He handed the cheque directly to community leaders.

“Dear Northerners, drop your worthless sentiment. Peter is who he said he is. Vote for him”
