A spokesman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Presidential Campaign Council Daniel Bwala, has mocked the governor of Rivers State, Nysom Wike and the president-elect, Mr Bola Tinubu after the latter congratulated the former for his role in the just concluded presidential election in Rivers State.

Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu who was controversially declared the president-elect by the Independent National Electoral Commission was in Port-Harcourt, Rivers state capital for a two-day official visit.

Recall that Tinubu was in the State to inaugurate the Rumuola-Rumuokwuta Flyover and the Magistrate Court Complex delivered by Nyesom Wike.

The former Lagos governor on Wednesday, while addressing supporters and party faithfuls thanked Nyesom Wike for contributing to his victory at the February 25 presidential poll.

He described Wike as a man of integrity who abandoned his personal interest for the interest of the nation.

Tinubu noted that despite the rumours and speculation peddled against Wike during the electioneering season, he stood by his conviction.

He said, “Nyesom, I say thank you for your contribution to my victory. I couldn’t have done this without some structural support. In Wike, I see a man of principle.

“He took a good stand that the presidency must return to the South and he had the courage to stand by his conviction not minding those against him.

“Wike is indeed a man of great integrity, he did not choose to serve his own interests but rather the internet of the nation. You promoted unity, you promoted fairness.

“There was so much gossip and speculation but you stood your ground”.

Meanwhile, Atiku spokesman, Daniel Bwala has rubbished Tinubu’s claim of victory in Rivers State, adding that the duo are grooving on a stolen mandate of Peter Obi, the presidential candidate of the Labour Party.

According to Bwala, the results uploaded on INEC IREV shows that the former governor of Anambra State won Rivers State point-blank.

He wondered how a soup made of a stolen chicken-curry will make a delicious cocktail.

Bwala said, “Tinubu congratulated Wike for contributing to his elections (selection) victory. Meanwhile the votes Wike credited to him were allegedly stolen from Peter Obi’s labour as shown on IREV. Can a soup made of a stolen chicken-curry make a delicious cocktail?”
