Former Anambra governorship candidate, Oseloka Henry Obaze, has congratulated Anambra North Labour Party political leaders, Senator Tony Nwoye, Honorable Afam Ogene, and Senator Victor Umeh as they both assume office as our Constituency leaders in the Senator and National Assembly.

Obaze and other LP stakeholders also attended Hon. Afam Victor Ogene and Emeka Nwosu reception, tasked the lawmakers on people’s orientation and wished them well in assuming office.

However, he felicitated with Labour Party’s distinguished Sen. Victor Umeh, as he starts his tenure as a member of the 10th Senate. We are confident that he will do well for his Anambra Constituency and for Nigeria.

He also wishes the Ondo state, governor Oluwarotimi Akeredolu. who he always described as a brother and his looking alike a quick recovery.

Ondo State House of Assembly had received a letter of medical leave from Governor Oluwarotimi Akeredolu.

Informing lawmakers on Tuesday of the development, Speaker Olamide Oladiji explained that Mr Akeredolu had embarked on a 21-day leave for medical treatment abroad. He will be away from June 7 to July 6, 2023.

According to the letter, the leave, which commenced on June 7, extends to July 6, 2023, due to the public holidays on June 12 (Democracy Day) and Eid-el-Kabir (June 28 and 29, 2023).

Mr Akeredolu informed the parliament that he had designated Deputy Governor Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa to act as the governor during the period of his treatment, saying he will be resuming work upon completion of his medical leave.

Mr Akeredolu, who was described as a peace lover by Mr Oladiji, took ill last year and has remained hospitalised. The governor has yet to share details of his protracted illness with state residents, with his wife Betty alleging he was poisoned by his mistress.

Obaze wrote: Here is wishing HE Aketi, (my brother from a different mother) well and expeditious recovery. You remain in our prayers and thoughts. God’s grace and speed.
