Kano State House of Assembly has received a letter from Governor Abba Kabiru Yusuf seeking its screening and clearance of 18 commissioner-nominees as cabinet members.

The letter was read by the speaker, Hon. Jibrin Ismail Falgore on the floor of the House  and the members agreed  to invite nominees for screening today at 10 am.

Subsequently, the House invited the nominees to appear before it tomorrow for screening with only two people to accompany each nominee.

The deputy governor, Aminu Abdussalam Gwarzo was exempted from appearing before the House

The nominees are the deputy governor, Gwarzo, Hon. Umar Haruna Doguwa, Hon Ali Haruna Makoda, Hon Dr Abubakar Labaran Yusuf,   Dr Danjuma Mahmud, Hon Musa Sulaiman Shanono, Hon Abbas Sani Abbas.

Others are Hajiya Aisha Lawan Saji, Hajiya Ladidi Garko, Engineer Marwan Ahmed, Hon Muhd Diggol, Hon Adamu Ali Kibiya, Dr Yusuf Ibrahim Kofar Mata,Hon Safiyanu Hamza, Hon Tajudeen Othman Ungogo, Sheik Tijjani Auwal,Hon Nasiru Sule Garo, Barrister Haruna Isa Dederi and Hon Baba Halilu  Dantiye
