Labour Party vice presidential candidate, Yusuf Datti Baba-Ahmed has arrived at the Presidential Election Petition Court for the respondents- INEC, APC, and its presidential candidate, Bola Tinubu to open their defence in the petitions challenging the outcome of the 2023 presidential election.
Baba-Ahmed was in court yesterday, but the hearing was adjourned due to INEC failure to present it witnesses.
INEC, had the first respondent to the petition by Peter Obi and the Labour Party (LP), was scheduled to open its defence yesterday but was unable to open its defence because of absence of its three witnesses, Counsel to INEC, Abubakar Mahmoud.
He asked that the case be adjourned until tomorrow July 4th, a stand which was not opposed by counsels to the Labour Party- Levi Uzoukwu, APC- Lateef Fagbemi and Tinubu- Wole Olanikpekun.
Also, other Labour Party chieftains and LP women leader have all arrived at the tribunal this morning for a hearing.
