Former Rivers State Governor, Mr. Nyesom Ezenwo Wike, over the weekend, reportedly went berserk after, according to sources within the presidency, the Department of State Security (DSS) refused to clear him for ministerial appointment.
It was gathered that Mr. Wike was disqualified along with former Kano State Governor, Abdullahi Ganduje.
The source revealed that as soon as President Bola Ahmed Tinubu broke the news to the former Governors Wike and Ganduje after the DSS released its verdict and refused to clear them for Ministerial positions, Wike “exploded” and threw tantrums President Tinubu, shouting at the top of his voice.
It was revealed that security operatives within the presidency had to restrain him from what was described as “unruly behavior”.
Wike, nonetheless, continued yelling at the top of his voice, regretting that after all the sacrifices and enemies he made for himself to ensure Tinubu won, he is being paid back with treachery.
The source noted, however, that Ganduje on his part, maintained his cool before they were both escorted out of the Villa.
Meanwhile, Tinubu has barely four days to the expiration of the 60-day provision for the President to submit names of ministerial nominees to the Senate for screening and confirmation.
It could be recalled that results from Rivers State in the wake of the presidential election held on February 25, 2023, showed that the results were heavily mutilated while those on the viewing portal of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) were evidently manipulated.
According to the analysis and scrutiny of IReV portal, Peter Obi actually won the states of Rivers and Benue which INEC initially announced as won by the All Progressives Congress (APC).
Rivers State was more revealing with Peter Obi’s Labour Party winning by almost a landslide polling a total of 178,575 votes, followed by APC with 88,055 votes and the PDP with 58,821 votes.

”According to the analysis and scrutiny of IReV portal, Peter Obi actually won the states of Rivers and Benue which INEC initially announced as won by the All Progressives Congress (APC)”. This point here is interesting. The election result declare by INEC have it that : APC won 13 states, PDP won 12 states and LP won 12 states. Giving the point made above 2 + 12 states already won by LP means that the party actually won 14 states including FTC! NIGERIA, NIGERIA , NIGERIA !!!!!. I weep for you!
Thanks for the DSS,Their observations and actions on the character of the ex-governor of Rivers State is appropriate.Ministerial job is not a birthright. Though the government of the day cannot stand due to lack of transparency in the process that pronounced the selection. We are confident and hopefully expecting the man he robbed of his mandate.
