Anthony Joshua’s promoter Eddie Hearn said the Nigerian-born British boxer would be available to take on Francis Ngannou on December 23.

Recall that Francis Ngannou became one of the most talked about personalities in the world after making his boxing debut last weekend against Tyson Fury in Saudi Arabia.

Ngannou, a Cameroonian-born French mixed martial artist stunned the world in his first ever heavyweight bout as he dropped Fury in the third round of the bout and also dragged the bout to the 10th round.

Despite his outstanding performance against Fury, two of the three judges declared Fury the winner of the bout while the third judge declared Francis Ngannou the winner.

Fury’s split decision victory has divided opinion across the world as many boxing enthusiasts think that the Cameroonian cross-over boxer won the bout.

While Ngannou insisted after the bout that he is ready to return to the ring as soon as possible, Eddie Hearn has called for a Fury Vs Ngannou rematch as he also advocated for Anthony Joshua vs Ngannou bout.

“All of a sudden that fight between two giants, they’re carved out of stone, it becomes a massive fight. We’re definitely willing to consider it”, Hearn told the BBC.

The boxing promoter went on to add, “We’d take that fight on December 23, no problem.

“We’re looking at that date for Joshua anyway. Maybe I’ll reach out to them and say listen, if you’re looking for an opponent for Francis Ngannou, AJ’s ready, on December 23, no problem at all. I’d like more time promotionally to make that fight what it is, one of the biggest fights out there, but no problem.”
