A police officer sent to protect residents of Imo State has been dealt with by youths for allegedly snatched election materials at a polling unit.

The incident, which was captured on video, shows how the police officer was confronted and roughed up by the community youths in Imo State.

It was alleged that the officer, along with others, is connected to a member of the All-Progressives Congress (APC) in Ikeduru Local Government Area and was instructed to snatch ballots at the Amakohia Ikeduru Collation Center, where the APC had lost.

The community youths managed to apprehend one of the officers while the others fled the scene.
