The Concerned Northern Forum, comprising lawyers, has announced its intention to take legal action against the Federal Government.

The forum is demanding adequate compensation for the victims of Tudun Biri, which was bombed during military airstrikes in Kaduna State, NN News Media gathered.

The legal action is aimed at holding the government accountable for the consequences of the airstrikes and ensuring compensation for those affected.

Tragedy struck as over 120 villagers were killed during the celebration of Maulud last Sunday night.

Represented by Barrister Nafi’u Abubakar, expressed its commitment to securing justice for families affected by a recent tragic incident.

Addressing the media in Kaduna on Saturday, Abubakar urged the Federal Government to conduct a thorough and independent investigation into the incident, emphasizing the need for accountability and preventive measures.

The forum, comprising over 600 members, conveyed condolences to the bereaved families and pledged unwavering support to ensure justice.

Additionally, they called for a reevaluation of the Nigerian Army’s rules of engagement to avoid civilian casualties in future military operations. The lawyers vowed to pursue legal avenues to claim compensation for the victims.
