The Cherubim and Seraphim Movement at Christ the King Cathedral in Kaduna State has honored Sheikh Ahmed Gumi and Pastor Yohanna Buru for their outstanding contributions to humanity and dedicated efforts toward fostering peace.
Pastor Christopher Solomon, representing the church, highlighted the duo’s role as ‘peace ambassadors’ and their significant impact on religious tolerance, mitigating extremism, and promoting understanding among diverse faith-based communities in the state.
Grateful for the recognition, Gumi and Buru called for continued peaceful coexistence between Muslims and Christians, urging governments to address prevailing security challenges.
The awardees also extended prayers for peace and stability in the state and the nation as a whole.
