Former Edo State Governor, Adams Oshiomhole, has criticizes Ex-APC Vice Chairman Lukman at Book Launch

At the launch of Salihu Moh Lukman’s book, ‘APC and Transition Politics,’ Adams Oshiomhole took the opportunity to criticize Lukman’s role in his removal as the national chairman of the All-Progressives Congress (APC).

Oshiomhole alleged that Lukman supported dictators because they were financially supporting him, accusing him of betraying the principles of democracy.

Oshiomhole asserted, “While we were advocating for internal democracy, Lukman attacked the National Working Committee (NWC) as useless. He supported dictators because they were picking his bills. They sacked me, brought in a caretaker committee, and he called them the new hope.”

The former governor raised concerns about the legitimacy of his removal, describing it as an “unlawful removal through Zoom.” He criticized Lukman for not speaking out against what he deemed an unfair process and accused him of celebrating the caretaker committee that took over.

Oshiomhole further claimed that Lukman began to feel the repercussions when the caretaker committee cleared the party’s accounts and pursued their own ambitions. The former APC national chairman highlighted Lukman’s isolation and questioned his democratic values.

The ongoing feud between Oshiomhole and Lukman underscores the internal struggles within the APC, shedding light on the power dynamics and divisions within the party.
