Inspector General of Police, Kayode Egbetokun, has ordered the immediate relocation of the Assistant Inspector General (AIG) Zone 4 to Plateau State following the recent wave of attacks on Bokkos, Barkin-Ladi, and parts of Mangu.

The directive came after IGP Egbetokun’s arrival in Jos, the Plateau State capital, where he convened with Governor Caleb Mutfwang and other key stakeholders to address the alarming situation that claimed over 190 lives and displaced many.

In addition to the AIG’s relocation, the Inspector General has also mandated the deployment of tactical teams and equipment to the affected areas, signaling a robust effort to address the crisis and prevent further attacks.

This swift and proactive response underscores the commitment of law enforcement to restoring peace and security in the region.
