Prominent human rights activist, Aisha Yesufu, recently expressed her strong views on the state of affairs in Nigeria, suggesting that if the country were well-governed, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu would be facing imprisonment rather than occupying the Aso Villa.
Yesufu, known for her outspoken stance on human rights issues, stated on her social media platform that Nigeria currently lacks a legitimate president, describing it as a grim reality.
In response to Yesufu’s assertion, self-acclaimed journalist Kemi engaged in a heated exchange, advising Yesufu to leave the country if she was dissatisfied. Kemi also claimed that the Department of State Services (DSS) was taking note of Yesufu’s tweets and warned against inciting people.
Unfazed by the warning, Yesufu fired back at Kemi, dismissing her comments as nonsense and challenging the DSS to take action, asserting that they could not do anything that kidnappers and terrorists were not already doing. Yesufu strongly criticized President Tinubu, accusing him of forging his certificate and being involved in drug dealing. She asserted that the illegitimate president should be the one to leave Nigeria.
The exchange between Yesufu and Kemi escalated, with Yesufu defending her stance and rejecting the suggestion to focus on her family. She argued that facing family responsibilities did not equate to being a coward and emphasized that her family was not made up of cowards.
