Julius Abure, the National Chairman of the Labor Party, has been taken into custody amid accusations of fraudulent activities and financial mismanagement related to campaign funds.

The arrest took place in Benin, the capital of Edo state. Abure is alleged to have mishandled donations intended for the party’s 2023 presidential campaign and is accused of selling nomination slots to aspirants from other parties.
