As the anticipated 2023 election draws near, Peter Obi, the distinguished presidential candidate for the Labour Party, has announced plans to renovate a mosque and provide boreholes to communities in Niger State.

In the midst of his nationwide tour aimed at connecting with and supporting Muslim communities during the holy month of Ramadan, Obi made a significant stop at the Barkin-Iku Suleja Niger State Central Mosque, situated along the Suleja – Kaduna Road in Niger State.

During this visit, Obi expressed gratitude for the opportunity to engage with approximately 100 individuals, breaking the Ramadan fast with around 1000 others, and sharing a meal with the devout Muslim community. Additionally, he pledged to renovate the mosque and provide a source of clean water, which has been a pressing need for the community for the past 30 years.

Through these actions, Obi aimed to exemplify the core values of his movement—empathy, inclusivity, and a commitment to uplifting the lives of all citizens, irrespective of creed or background. He emphasized that such gestures not only alleviate immediate challenges but also symbolize an unwavering dedication to the welfare and progress of every Nigerian.

Obi reiterated his hope that these initiatives would serve as a symbol of unity and compassion, particularly during the holy month of Ramadan. He called for collective efforts to build a nation where the basic needs of every community are met, fostering a spirit of generosity and understanding.

As Obi continues his journey across the nation, his commitment to supporting communities and promoting inclusivity stands as a testament to his vision for a better Nigeria.
