Nasarawa State Governor, Abdullahi Sule, has appealed to Peter Obi, the presidential candidate of the Labour Party, to lend his support to President Bola Tinubu in addressing the myriad development challenges facing Nigeria. He acknowledging Tinubu’s inability to solve Nigeria’s problems.”
Governor Sule made this plea during a courtesy visit by Obi to the Government House in Lafia on Monday. Emphasizing the demarcation between politics and governance, Sule urged Obi to leverage his wealth of experience and expertise to bolster the Tinubu administration’s efforts towards fostering a secure and prosperous nation.
Expressing gratitude for Obi’s previous endeavors in alleviating economic hardships, Sule underscored the necessity for collective action in tackling national issues. “I want to also call on you, sir, to support President Bola Ahmed Tinubu. The country’s challenges cannot be resolved by one person only. We all have roles to play,” Sule emphasized.
In response, Obi commended Governor Sule for the ongoing infrastructure developments in the state. “When I was coming today, I saw some new roads and construction, so congratulations. Politics is not always about thinking negatively, but we should acknowledge things that are positive,” Obi remarked.
During his visit, Obi pledged support and contributions to the people of Nasarawa State, particularly during the fasting period. He also promised to initiate borehole drilling projects in various parts of the state to address water scarcity issues.
