Biu-Buni Yadi road, Borno state was the scene of a reported ambush on a Lieutenant Colonel and six soldiers from the 135 Special Force BN FOB in Buratai.

The military personnel were on their way to purchase fuel when they were attacked, according to Daily Trust.

Those who were injured in the incident are reportedly receiving medical attention at an undisclosed hospital.

This attack comes just a week after 17 military personnel who were killed in Okuama, Ughelli Local Government Area of Delta State were laid to rest at the National Military Cemetery in Abuja.
