Abdulaziz Abubakar Yari, the former Governor of Zamfara State, has called for nationwide prayers for President Bola Tinubu in the face of the economic crisis.

Yari emphasized the urgency of this call to action, warning that without such spiritual support, Nigeria risks total collapse under the current administration.

He believes that the situation has escalated beyond the control of the presidency and that collective prayer is a crucial step towards national salvation.

In a conversation with journalists at his residence in Talata Mafara, Yari expressed his belief that the current economic and security issues facing the nation have surpassed the capabilities of the Nigerian presidency.

Yari, who currently serves as the senator for Zamfara West, emphasized that Tinubu requires earnest prayers to steer the country in the right direction. He reminded his supporters that Islamic teachings promote the practice of praying for leaders, encouraging them to do so regardless of their political leanings.

Yari stressed that as the sole Commander in Chief of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, any missteps by Tinubu could have significant repercussions for the entire nation. Consequently, he called on Nigerians to back Tinubu with their prayers.

He further appealed to the citizens to unite in support of Tinubu by offering him the necessary backing through prayers. Yari also praised the president for his inclusive approach, acknowledging his efforts to involve all Nigerians, irrespective of their religious or political affiliations.
