On Wednesday, Nyesom Wike, the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), made a notable appearance at the National caucus meeting of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Abuja.

This meeting is a precursor to the National Executive Committee meeting scheduled for Thursday, where a new National Chairman for the party will be elected. Wike, a key figure in the meeting, is sharing the platform with Atiku Abubakar, his rival who secured the party’s ticket for the 2023 election.

The caucus meeting is taking place at the Bauchi Governors’ lodge, located behind the ECOWAS secretariat in Asokoro, and is attended by other significant stakeholders. Nyesom Wike, who formerly served as the Governor of Rivers State and is currently the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), is among the attendees of the PDP’s National Caucus meeting.
