Former presidential candidate of the Labour Party, Peter Obi, shares his elation at the extraordinary accomplishments of young Nigerians on April 25, 2024.

Witnessing the rise of young talents who carve their names in history both nationally and globally fills me with immense joy and hope. Among the recent highlights are the remarkable feats of Oluwafemi Ositade and Clara Chizoba Krongbong, two exceptional Nigerian youths.

Oluwafemi Ositade, a 17-year-old prodigy, has garnered scholarships from prestigious institutions like Harvard, as well as 13 other foreign universities, including Ivy League establishments in the US, and top-tier universities in Canada and Qatar. His outstanding performance in the Scholastic Aptitude Test (SAT) has earned him scholarships totaling $3,511,582. Additionally, he achieved the second-highest score in the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) in Nigeria for 2023, coupled with an impressive WASSCE result.

Another beacon of excellence is Clara Chizoba Krongbong, recognized by the Guinness World Records for conducting the longest interviewing marathon, spanning an impressive 55 hours. Through this remarkable feat, Clara exemplifies her unwavering dedication and passion for media practice.

Peter Obi extends his heartfelt congratulations to Oluwafemi and Clara for their extraordinary achievements. He underscores his firm belief in the immense potential harbored within Nigerian youth, capable of driving national growth and transformation. These inspiring narratives reinforce the vision of a New Nigeria, founded on meritocracy and the exceptional talent showcased by bright young individuals.
