Magnus Abe, a former representative of the Rivers South-East senatorial district at the National Assembly, has publicly stated that he remains a member of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Rivers State, as it is his political home.

Abe’s statement comes after he made peace with the Minister of the FCT and former Governor of Rivers State, indicating a commitment to end the rifts within the party.

In a Facebook post titled “I have made peace with the Minister of FCT and former governor of Rivers State,” Abe expressed his desire for true reconciliation, which he believes will enable the APC in Rivers State to benefit from the process of peaceful reunification and reintegration. He accompanied the Minister to Chief Tony Okocha’s thanksgiving service to demonstrate his dedication to uniting the party.

Abe thanked the Minister for his direct, truthful, and sincere approach, which he believes will create a united team. He emphasized that the disagreement within the party is over and gone for good, as the oxygen for conflict has been extinguished.

The former senator acknowledged that it may take some time, but he is confident that all those who sincerely wish the party well will join the path of unity, as it is the right way forward. Abe reiterated that his home is in the APC and called for everyone to come together, as everyone will benefit from working together.

Abe emphasized the need to focus on the economy and support President Bola Tinubu’s government to succeed for the benefit of all Nigerians.
