The National Democratic Coalition (NADECO) USA chapter has strongly denounced the political crisis in Rivers State, throwing its full support behind Governor Siminalayi Fubara.

The group firmly opposes any attempts to establish godfatherism in Nigeria and specifically in Rivers State.

NADECO’s Stand Against Godfatherism

In a statement released by NADECO’s President, Lloyd Ukwu, the organization highlighted the dangers of godfatherism, emphasizing its threat to democracy, transparency, and the rule of law. The group warned against the negative impacts of allowing such practices to take hold in Nigeria, particularly in Rivers State.

NADECO USA called on the people of Rivers to resist any efforts to impose godfatherism on them and urged support for Governor Fubara. The group emphasized the need to combat godfatherism not only in Rivers but across the entire country, citing its detrimental effects on political and administrative systems.
