In the recently concluded 2024 National Mathematics Competition, the pupils of Divine Rays British School, located in Idemili North Local Government Area of Anambra State, have distinguished themselves by securing the top positions.
Catalyst Consulting, the competition’s organizers, released a statement on Monday detailing the structure of the competition. It was divided into four categories to accommodate all primary and secondary school classes: lower primary, upper primary, junior secondary, and senior secondary.
The annual competition aims to assess students’ mathematical abilities and knowledge, providing them with a platform to excel in the subject.
Divine Rays British School was represented by its primary section students – Okonkwo Chiziterem, Ezievuo Kosiso S., Nwabueze Chikamso S., Okoye Emmanuella C., Okonkwo, Amarachi J., Uche Chiemerie Victoria – who brought home six Gold medals from the annual tournament.
The school’s Headmistress, Mrs Ifeoma Ucheama, expressed her joy on Monday, stating that this achievement is a testament to the dedication and hard work of both the students and the school’s coaching staff.
She extended her heartfelt gratitude to the parents, guardians, and well-wishers for their unwavering support and encouragement.
