Dele Momodu, a prominent member of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), has publicly criticized Doyin Okupe for his support of President Bola Tinubu’s administration.

Momodu expressed his discontent with Okupe’s defense of the current government, highlighting the dire state of Nigeria’s economy.

In a post on X, Momodu remarked on Okupe’s inconsistent political stance, referencing his history as a spokesperson for former President Obasanjo. He emphasized that despite Okupe’s eloquence in defending various administrations, Nigeria has seen little benefit from such support.

Momodu stated, “The people of Nigeria have never had things so bad, and you’re both defending a profligate government with untenable economic hocus pocus.” He further asserted that he would support Tinubu if he could reduce government spending and implement significant reforms, but he believes that with advisers like Okupe, success is unattainable for any government.

Momodu’s remarks reflect a broader frustration with the current administration’s policies and the role of political advisers in shaping governance.
