Advocate Serah Ibrahim has strongly condemned the actions of the Bola Tinubu-led Federal Government for arresting and charging minors with treasonable felony.

Ibrahim highlighted the case of 37 young individuals, including 13-year-olds, 14-year-olds, and 15-year-olds, who were detained by the government.

Ibrahim questioned the double standards in the justice system, pointing out that while 18-year-olds are barred from university under new regulations, the government is willing to imprison those under 18. She argued that this inconsistency is unjust and raises serious concerns about the treatment of minors by the authorities.

According to Ibrahim, the “End Bad Governance” protests aimed to address the rising cost of living and demand better governance. However, instead of addressing these grievances, the Tinubu administration has been arresting peaceful protesters and charging them with serious offenses.

“I have names of 37 young people. These are people that are 13-year-olds, 14-year-olds and 15-year-olds that were arrested by the Tinubu-led government,” Ibrahim stated, emphasizing the need for a fair and just system that protects the rights of all citizens, especially minors
