Hon. Ibe Okwara Osonwa, the member representing Arochukwu/Ohafia Federal Constituency, has initiated the installation of solar-powered streetlights in Ukwuakwu Ututu, Arochukwu Local Government Area.

This project is part of Hon. Osonwa’s ongoing efforts to fulfill his campaign promises and improve infrastructure in the region.

Speaking on his behalf, Chief of Staff Chief Idika Ike assured residents that this marks the beginning of broader development for the Ututu community. The streetlights will significantly enhance safety and accessibility.

Community leader HRH Ezeogo Eke John expressed deep gratitude, highlighting the importance of street lighting. He recalled a tragic incident where an elderly woman fell on the dark roads at night, stressing the life-saving potential of this project.

Youth leader Mr. Uche Samuel Agwu also shared his appreciation, noting that this is the first time a House of Representatives member has delivered such a project in their community. He further encouraged Hon. Osonwa to address the poor condition of their roads.

SLOBAJ Engineering Construction Company began the installation immediately following a prayer ceremony. The project’s official commissioning is scheduled for the end of the month.
