Today, we convened at the Old Government Lodge in Enugu to celebrate the extraordinary life of Chief Dr. Engr. Emmanuel Chukwuemeka Iwuanyanwu, CFR, Ahaejiejemba Ndigbo.

Alongside my fellow governors and other prominent leaders from the South-East and the broader Igbo community, we honored an irreplaceable leader and revered elder statesman whose legacy profoundly resonates within our hearts and throughout the nation.

As the esteemed leader of Ohanaeze Ndigbo, Chief Iwuanyanwu was a monumental figure, not only for Ndi Igbo but for all Nigerians. His lifelong commitment to unity, justice, and community development distinguished him as a true statesman and patriot. His visionary outlook transcended the present, paving the way for future generations.

On a personal note, I am thankful for the opportunity to have known and learned from him. His wisdom, humility, and deep love for our people and nation are ideals that we will carry forward. His life serves as a powerful reminder of what it means to serve others, fostering connections and creating a lasting impact.

As we bid farewell to this illustrious son of Igboland, let us honor his legacy by embodying the values he championed—unity, courage, and unwavering service.

Kachifoo, Ahaejiejemba Ndigbo!
