Labour Party’s presidential candidate, Peter Obi, attended the burial ceremony of Chief Emmanuel Iwuanyanwu in Atta, Ikeduru Local Government Area of Imo State, joining fellow Nigerians in honoring the elder statesman and former President of Ohanaeze Ndigbo Worldwide.
Obi described Chief Iwuanyanwu as a distinguished leader and father figure who made a lasting impact through his dedication to peace, justice, and national progress. Known for his role as a bridge builder, Chief Iwuanyanwu worked tirelessly to promote unity and foster understanding among Nigerians. His legacy of patriotism and service to Nigeria was reflected in the many people who gathered to pay their last respects.
Extending his condolences to Chief Iwuanyanwu’s family, Ohanaeze Ndigbo, and the nation, Obi prayed for strength and peace for all affected by this profound loss, wishing the late leader eternal rest. He also prayed for God’s continued blessings and protection over Chief Iwuanyanwu’s family.
