King West, son of popular Lagos motor park figure MC Oluomo, recently made waves on social media by claiming that his family now has control over all of Nigeria—not just Lagos.

The controversial statement came as West congratulated his father, MC Oluomo, who was appointed the new president of the National Union of Road Transport Workers (NURTW).

Posting on Instagram, West celebrated his father’s achievement with a post reading, “I am now officially the son of the president of NURTW Nigeria. Congratulations dad! It’s official.” West’s message also extended gratitude to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, writing, “Thank you Mr. President, His Excellency President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.”

He went on to add, “Nah the country wey dey control now, no be only Lagos again. See my pop smile. The beast.” The post sparked widespread criticism for its boastful tone, with many Nigerians expressing disapproval over West’s bold claims.

Following the backlash, West deleted the post, though it had already stirred significant reactions online.
