Peter Obi, the Labour Party’s presidential candidate in the 2023 general elections, continued his New Year engagements with visits to prominent Nigerian leaders.

From Jigawa State, Obi traveled to Minna, Niger State, to visit former military president General Ibrahim Badamasi Babangida at his residence. The visit was an opportunity to wish General Babangida a happy New Year and exchange thoughts on national issues. Obi expressed his deep appreciation for General Babangida’s wisdom and perspectives, emphasizing the importance of listening to his invaluable advice.

Obi concluded his New Year engagements with a visit to Abuja, where he met with his elder brother and former President of Nigeria, His Excellency Goodluck Jonathan. During the visit, Obi wished President Jonathan a happy New Year and discussed important national issues. He praised President Jonathan’s patriotic approach to national matters and expressed gratitude for his kind advice and guidance.

Obi concluded by wishing President Jonathan and his family a happy and productive year ahead, reaffirming his belief that a new Nigeria is possible.
