The South East Senate Caucus extended their congratulations to Senator Azuta Mbata on his election as the President General of Ohanaeze Ndigbo Worldwide.

In a statement from Abuja, Caucus leader Senator Enyinnaya Abaribe highlighted the significance of Mbata’s victory at the Ohanaeze General Assembly in Enugu, marking a milestone for the Igbo socio-cultural organization.

Senator Abaribe expressed the Caucus’s confidence in Mbata’s leadership qualities, which are expected to foster unity and development in Igboland. He emphasized that Mbata’s leadership would also strengthen relationships with similar associations outside Igboland, promoting national unity.

“We believe that under Senator Mbata’s leadership, Ohanaeze will unify the Igbo race, promoting peace and making it a rallying point for Ndigbo worldwide,” Abaribe stated. He added that this trajectory would inspire confidence and drive sustainable development for the benefit of Igboland and Nigeria.

The Caucus also praised the delegates and political leaders, particularly state governors, for their unwavering support of the new Ohanaeze leadership. They commended the outgoing President General, Nze Ozichukwu, for ensuring a peaceful transition of leadership to Senator Mbata.

The Caucus called on Ndigbo to fully support Senator Mbata and his executive team in their mission to restore the dignity and prosperity of Alaigbo.
