Peter Obi, the presidential candidate of Nigeria’s Labour Party, has extended warm congratulations to President Donald J. Trump on his inauguration as the 47th President of the United States of America.

In a statement shared on behalf of his family and the Obidients Movement, Obi praised Trump’s victory as a testament to the resilience of democracy and the enduring will of the American people.

He expressed hope that the new administration would focus on fostering global stability, promoting economic growth, and strengthening international partnerships, particularly between the United States and Africa.

Obi, who was among world leaders invited to the inauguration, was represented by the Chairman of the Labour Party Caretaker Committee, Senator Nenadi Usman.
