The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has officially revealed the schedule for the 2025 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME), including key dates for registration and examination periods.

2025 UTME Registration Opens January 31, Closes March 5

The sale of UTME application forms will begin on January 31, 2025, and end on March 5, 2025. Candidates are urged to complete their registration before the deadline.

Mock-UTME and Main UTME Dates Announced

Mock-UTME: April 5, 2025

Main UTME: April 25, 2025, to May 5, 2025

Candidates who opt for the Mock-UTME will need to pay ₦8,200, while those registering only for the main UTME will pay ₦7,200.

Application Fee: ₦3,500

Reading Text: ₦1,000

CBT Centre Registration Service Charge: ₦700

CBT Centre UTME Service Charge: ₦1,500

Special Mock UTME for Candidates Under 16

JAMB has introduced a special Mock UTME for candidates under 16, aimed at helping them assess their readiness for the exam. This initiative is not for admission purposes but offers young candidates a chance to evaluate their performance before the main examination.

Age Requirement for Admission

Candidates must be at least 16 years old by September 30, 2025, to qualify for admission into tertiary institutions in Nigeria. However, exceptional candidates under 15 who score a minimum of 280 in the UTME and show outstanding results in their Senior Secondary Certificate and post-UTME exams may be considered for admission.
