Former Labour Party presidential candidate, Peter Obi, has introduced a new online registration portal and identity cards for members of his Obidient Movement, both in Nigeria and abroad.

In a joint statement released on Saturday, the National Coordinator of the movement, Dr. Yunusa Tanko, and the Director of Strategic Communications and Media, Nana Kazaure, detailed the initiative.

The statement highlighted that each ID card features a QR code for easy authentication and includes the national flag of the holder’s country of residence.

“The Obidient registration portal accommodates Nigerians and Obidients in the diaspora. Each ID card carries a national flag on the top right corner to represent the holder’s country,” the statement read.

It further explained that the standardized OBX prefix appears on all cards, creating a unified identity for both Nigerian and international members.

The QR code, located at the bottom right, allows for immediate verification through any smartphone or QR scanner. This feature ensures members can securely connect, verify identities, and foster trust within the movement.

“Whether supporting or doing business with a fellow Obidient, scanning the QR code or verifying the OBX ID online offers a secure way to confirm authenticity,” the statement added.
