Ohanaeze Ndigbo Worldwide has extended heartfelt condolences to the family of the late Alhaji Aminu Alhassan Dantata, Nigeria’s renowned businessman, elder statesman, and philanthropist, who recently passed away.

In a condolence message signed by the National Publicity Secretary of Ohanaeze, Ezechi Chukwu, the organization also sympathized with the people of Kano State, the state’s governor, Abba Kabir Yusuf, and the Emir of Kano, His Highness Muhammadu Sanusi II, urging them to bear the loss with strength and fortitude.

Chukwu conveyed that the President of Ohanaeze Ndigbo, Chief Alex Mbata, along with the entire Igbo community, deeply recognizes the immense legacy left by Alhaji Dantata. He described the late patriarch as not just a towering figure in Nigeria’s business landscape but also as a generous philanthropist, accomplished industrialist, and mentor to many of today’s wealth creators.

“Alhaji Dantata paid his dues in both nation-building and human capacity development,” Chukwu said. “His influence and contributions spanned more than half a century, leaving an indelible mark on countless lives and sectors of society.”

Chukwu emphasized that the nation has lost a monumental figure whose impact on humanity is immeasurable. However, he added, “we take comfort in the enduring legacies he leaves behind, which will continue to serve as a source of inspiration for future generations.”

He further called on Nigerian youth to emulate Alhaji Dantata’s values—especially his industrious spirit, resilience, discipline, and commitment to excellence—qualities that laid the foundation for his remarkable success.

“Ohanaeze prays that God grants his soul eternal rest and provides his family the strength to bear this irreparable loss,” Chukwu concluded.
