Labour Party governorship candidate in Anambra State, Dr. George Moghalu, has described Prof. Charles Soludo as the outgoing governor of the state after meeting and exchanging pleasantries with him.

In a statement, Moghalu acknowledged that while it would be unfair to say Soludo had done nothing since assuming office, his performance was far from satisfactory.

“The majority of the roads awarded are either poorly constructed, failing, or abandoned. The quality of education has dropped drastically, as confirmed by examination bodies. Insecurity is underreported just three days ago, my cousin was kidnapped in Nnewi and is still being held captive,” Moghalu stated.

He emphasized that his approach to governance would bring “seriousness” and accountability, similar to the standards he upheld in his past public service roles.

“I am very conscious of the judgment of history, and I ask Ndi Anambra to check my records in offices I have held before and judge me by them. I will not betray the confidence of our people,” he assured.

Moghalu urged residents to rally behind his candidacy with a shared mission: “Let’s recover Anambra together, Umunnem.”
