Zainab Buba Galadima has officially left the All-Progressives Congress after years of service. She admitted she feels ashamed and disappointed because it has become very hard to defend President Bola Tinubu and his government in public.

She explained that the party failed badly and that trying to stand up for the leadership now brings her personal shame. Zainab pointed to a recent example where the president traveled to Jos last week to condole with families who lost loved ones in attacks. She stressed that any serious government should first protect lives and property so such condolence visits would not keep happening. This situation she said makes it extremely difficult to defend Tinubu anymore.

In her interview on the Mic On podcast hosted by Seun Okinbaloye she spoke with real emotion. Zainab said the party came looking for her trouble just because she acts like a concerned Nigerian who knows the true state of things. She listed the pains without sugarcoating constant insecurity that scares families daily deep hunger that empties tables missing opportunities for young people and complete lack of social justice.

She shared how much she sacrificed believing the APC would deliver real help. Zainab worked as technical assistant to former vice president Yemi Osinbajo lost two pregnancies spent her own wealth and energy for the party yet felt she received little in return and even said the national chairman has not given as much.

She noted how Buhari once raised hopes for change and comfort for ordinary people but failed to meet them. Now under Tinubu she believes the failure runs deeper and the party has drifted from its stated values.

Zainab admitted feeling ashamed and disappointed because it has grown very hard to defend Tinubu or the government. She mentioned the president went to Jos last week to condole with families after fresh attacks but pointed out that any serious government should protect lives first instead of making repeated condolence visits necessary.

She questioned Tinubu remaining hold on northern support saying it has slipped badly and he could face real trouble getting strong votes there in 2027. Name and fame alone she warned will not be enough if people keep suffering and doubts linger over fair elections.

She explained breaking some rules by speaking openly because she reached her limit and got tired of faking support. The party turned mean after her loyalty she said but she stayed honest with herself. Zainab now eyes the African Democratic Congress coalition as better ground to push for real solutions.

Her exit interview has created strong buzz with praise for her honesty mixed with questions about timing and family politics. Still her words highlight the rising frustration over everyday struggles that continue to hit millions hard.
