The African Democratic Congress has accused the ruling All Progressives Congress of orchestrating plans to disrupt its scheduled summit taking place today, April 25, in Ibadan, Oyo State.

This allegation was made public by the party’s National Publicity Secretary, Bolaji Abdullahi, through a statement shared on X on Saturday morning. He claimed that the ADC had uncovered efforts by the APC aimed at sabotaging the opposition gathering.

Abdullahi explained that the situation reflects a broader pattern of interference, alleging that the ruling party had previously blocked the ADC from accessing venues in Abuja and is now extending similar tactics to Oyo State. According to him, these actions are part of a deliberate attempt to weaken opposition activities and suppress political engagement.

Despite the alleged threats, Abdullahi emphasized that the ADC remains resolute. He stated that the party would not yield to intimidation, adding that while the APC claims confidence, its actions suggest otherwise. He reaffirmed the ADC’s commitment to proceeding with the summit, insisting that the party stands firmly with the Nigerian people and will not be deterred.
