Top leaders of the African Democratic Congress in Abia State have intensified efforts to strengthen party unity and build a formidable political structure ahead of the 2027 general elections.

The high level meeting brought together key party figures including Senator Mao Ohuabunwa Akobundu, Don Norman Obinna Udensi and other influential stakeholders who discussed strategies aimed at repositioning the party as a strong alternative platform in Abia State and across Nigeria.

During the meeting, party leaders stressed the importance of internal cohesion, grassroots mobilisation and collective commitment to the growth of the ADC. They agreed that unity among members remains essential for the party to achieve its political goals and gain wider public support ahead of the next electoral cycle.

Stakeholders also highlighted the need for credible leadership, effective political engagement and stronger connections with communities across the state. According to participants, the ADC is determined to expand its reach by encouraging active participation at the grassroots level while promoting policies that reflect the needs and aspirations of ordinary Nigerians.

The gathering further served as an opportunity for party members to reaffirm their loyalty to the ADC and renew their commitment to building a disciplined and people focused political movement capable of competing strongly in future elections.

Leaders at the meeting expressed confidence that with sustained unity, strategic planning and inclusive participation, the ADC would continue to grow into a major political force in Abia State and Nigeria ahead of 2027.
