The African Democratic Congress (ADC) has officially released the timetable for its 2026 congresses and National Convention.
In a public notice signed by the party’s National Organising Secretary, Prince Chinedu Idigo, and the National Publicity Secretary, Bolaji Abdullahi, the party outlined the schedule for activities that will renew its leadership at different levels across the country.
According to the statement, the process will begin with Polling Unit and Ward Congresses on Tuesday, April 7, 2026. This will be followed by Local Government Area Congresses on Thursday, April 9, and State Congresses on Saturday, April 11.
The exercise will end with the party’s National Convention on Tuesday, April 14, 2026, where key decisions and leadership structures are expected to be finalized.

The party also advised members who want to contest for any vacant positions at the ward, local government, or state levels to obtain the necessary nomination or expression of interest forms.
According to the statement, interested members should download, complete, and submit the forms through the party’s official website.
ADC said the congresses are part of its constitutional responsibility to renew and strengthen its leadership structure, starting from the grassroots level at polling units and wards, up to the national level.
Party members were also encouraged to take part actively in the process and follow the party’s constitution, guidelines, and democratic principles throughout the exercise.
